السنغاليون يترقبون غدا الإثنين خطاب الرئيس ماكي صال حول مسألة المشاركة فى انتخابات 2024
أنباء انفو- ينتظر السنغاليون، بتلهف شديد ما سيقوله رئيس بلادهم ماكي سال، يوم غد الإثنين ، وهل سيعلن ترشحه لمأمورية رئاسية ثالثة لتدخل البلاد فى نفق مظلم ؟ أم أنه سيترك الرئاسة بدون رجغة وتعود الأوضاع إلى حالتها الطبيعية المعتادة.
الرئيس ماكي صال فى خطاب أمس السبت، إلى شعبه دعا إلى الوحدة، قائلاً إنه سيعلن، الاثنين، إذا كان سيُرشح نفسه لولاية رئاسية ثالثة في فبراير 2024.
الإعلان، بات محل ترقب في السنغال التي يسودها مناخ من عدم الاستقرار في ظل غموض سال بشأن نياته في ما يتعلق بهذه الانتخابات، والحكم بالسجن عامين على عثمان سونكو، أحد خصومه الرئيسيين.
وحُكم على سونكو في الأول من يونيو بالسجن عامين في فضيحة جنسية ما يجعله غير مؤهل للترشح لانتخابات 2024.
وأثار الحكم عليه بالسجن أسوأ اضطرابات تشهدها السنغال منذ سنوات، أسفرت عن 16 ضحية على الأقل حسب السلطات، و24 وفق منظمة العفو الدولية غير الحكومية، و30 استنادا إلى المعارضة.
وأمام مسؤولين محليين منتخبين وقعوا عريضة يتعهدون فيها دعمه، دعا الرئيس سال، السبت، إلى الوحدة. وقال إن “التحدي الحالي هو أن نكون متحدين أولاً”.
وأضاف: “معركتي والفخر الأكبر لي فعلاً هو قيادتكم نحو النصر ومواصلة سياستنا الاقتصادية لمصلحة شعوبنا”.
